In keeping with our corporate goals to follow up on better relations with Gallia through increased trade, our crew ventured forth to tackle see how a route via Rheinland would perform, albeit with some limitations that Rheinland corporations will not have.
Grabbing some Boron from Planet Pittsburgh, we then proceeded to round out our cargo with a vist to Eupen handelsplatz in Texas for some Premium Scrap.
The Rheinland leg of our Gallic mission had us stop in Freiburg Station, providing Rheinland with the Boron for their use, while picking up some Synth Paste near Planet Stuttgart, securing a replacement for our sold Boron.
Without issues heading through Cologne and Zurich, we proceeded into Gallic space at Picardy, onward to our final destination to sell our Premium Scrap at Maintenon Shipyard in Orleanais. From there, we opted to continue in that direction through Champagne to Burgundy, where we sold the Synth Paste to a buyer at the Bourg-en-Bresse Space Port in Burgundy.
All our cargo successfully sold in Gallia, we now began procuring return commodities to benefit the Rheinland and Liberty importers, beginning with travel to Ile-de-France and the Luxury Liner Belleville. Once onboard, the Blue Diamonds we'd heard Liberty commercial and retail customers rave so much about were purchased. For our Rheinland partners, we decided to head to Guise Mining Facility in Picardy to pick up some Molybdenum.
Both commodities in hand, our transit back through Zurich and Cologne was pleasant and uneventful. We arrived at The Ring, New Berlin with our Molybdenum cargo which they happily took off our hands for a decent profit.
A partially empty hold on Liberty return was not an option, so we decided to head to Raubling Station, Munich to obtain some much desired Aluminium for Liberty consumers.
We passed through the rest of Rheinland and entered Texas on route to New York. Still smooth sailing, no problems on this run.
For future trips, we will likely try to take a mix of more premium cargos for the return trip, such as Uncut Diamonds from Rheinland. Had we the license to do so, like Rheinland corporations do, Military Salvage from the Picardy supplier near Abbeville would have made profits higher as well. Alas, some restricted products are not approved for everyone!
All in all, a great trip - rated a 5 of 5, would recommend - especially in convoy!
Sincerely,
Doug Sullivan
