1: The old existing playerbase - 75% will be against Corsairs - and some of the best PVPers being OCs
2:The need for new players to participate in fun events and hopefully tell their friends about it!
3: The "Kansas" debacle - where everyone chose a side, over logged and the fun was gone
4: Lack of turrets and turret efficiency on the PoBs
5: The "Freedom" of choice for players to participate in what ships they want in what will be "DTR vs Freelancer Discovery" Event
6: DTR being the main recruiter of new players and main activity generator for the past year
7: 1st Navy activity hours after the Kansas event - yes, that was quite a drop in activity! (Point 6 applies to 1st Navy too)
8: Personal and subjective opinions aren't relevant.
BALANCE THE EVENT! GIVE THE DEFENDERS A FIGHTING CHANCE! Yes, that includes the PVPers in the server splitting up and actually fighting amongst themselves. Enough Duck hunt! Fight someone who's on your level, not NPCs with extra neurons.
KEEP THINGS BALANCED AND FUN FOR EVERYONE! ESPECIALLY THE NEW PLAYERS! As someone said: they are the bread and butter of the server!
3: The Kansas debacle, as you call it, in my opinion, came from people who wanted to be a child at the baptism, the bride at the wedding, and the dead person at the funeral.
What could have been a fun border conflict between xenon-paid mercenaries and the 6-7 Auxo players, turned into an issue that, I agree with you, divided the community.
6: The problem I see with this is that they tend to be players who only play as DTR.
How many players are there? 10? 20?
If instead of playing only as corsair or other characters to improve the DTR position they would also play other roles, such as: Gaian, Bowex, Crayter and other factions that barely have players, they would populate the server with factions of 4-5 players, which would It would encourage the role, conflict, alliances, etc.
The concentration of players in a faction in a single region is killing the server in my opinion.
I'll give you an example, the other day I saw two indie corsairs doing piracy, since they joined the DTR they have stopped doing it and the life they gave to the server has disappeared.
And when a new player arrives, instead of seeing a server full of distributed players and having options to choose what to play, they only see an easy option, which leaves the rest of Sirius even more empty, entering a vicious circle.
So no, in my opinion they do not generate healthy activity.
8: All opinions, subjective or not, are important to see other points of view and empathize with the one with whom you disagree.
All of this is my opinion and I share it with the utmost respect, it is not an attack on anyone.
