Hey, figured I should probably send this message before I pass back out but there was something I should have said yesterday, back when you said you wanted to hide on a planet and run for the rest of time that I didn't.

So I guess I'll say it now.

[A long sigh, almost as if there was a reluctance to continue with what she was about to say.]

It's... funny, in that twisted bloody sense of humour that seems to haunt my fucking life but...

[Her voice carried a weight of sadness to it as she went on.]

But if you had said that to me two weeks ago, or even just the day before yesterday I would have been... thrilled, delighted, ecstatic. But now it's just a case of...

[Another sigh, this one sounding more exhausted than anything.]

It doesn't feel like stepping back is an option anymore and I hate that because it reminds me of Leeds, back when Gav, Kels, Jace and Alex all wanted to go and run off to fight. I was surprisingly the only one against it, but I never felt like I could walk away from it because they were my friends and I couldn't leave them to fight on their own. I know Aspen would tell me I don't need to do this for her and all, but like you said I suppose somethings about people just can't change.

And... Kris, you won't become the next Ca-, the next Vincent, I'm not going to let that happen, I promise you. That being said though, I know this won't be easy for any of us, so... do me a favour, doll.

Don't let those doubts burrow inside your head, I know you're stronger than that, and it kills me that it seems almost everyone but you can see as much and remember, yesterday wasn't your fault. I've realised now it was me poking around near the anomaly that set off yesterday.

Either way, I promise we'll all get through this, and you'll get to go and visit your mom in no time, we just all need to stick together until then.
