That's a bit more valid feedback we can have an actual conversation on, thank you. Let's clear one thing up first - Nyx herself knows that starting with a leading statement of "anyone replying to this is automatically admitting guilt of everything I say, and accepts the post as the truth", followed up by an attempt to make a highly subjective personal experience equal to the general objective actions of the faction as a whole, followed up by another leading assumption of "you don't even need ofl perks, so why bother" is doing very little in attempting to provide valid criticism hence why I hope we can both agree it was anything but that. It was a low effort post, it got a low effort reply.
With that out of the way, let's break down what you said. I'll start off with text addressed at my name personally, as I don't think you'll do any of us favor if you try to make this a you vs me thing instead of general feedback for Aegis as a whole. I wish I could take 99% of the blame or involvement with the things you're contributing to me. I am probably not even in the top 10 most active Aegis members at the moment, and I only joined recently when compared to the faction's creation date. Additionally, I've missed vast majority of engagements when I was in the faction, including the recent ones such as Delta or Gamma, as it's simply not a faction I play that much. Putting my contributions to the fights I was never part of, never gotten any input about, and never had a chance to have a discussion about, is at best an attempt made out of ignorance. I can understand that part, due to the anonymity of Aegis members making it hard for people fighting them to know who's behind the ships, yet it needs to be addressed nonetheless.
The main reason why I, as Nyx would call it "got triggered by overly loyal members", or in more human terms willing to engage in a constructive discussion with validly presented feedback from both sides, is because I think there's a lot of misinformation being spread around and it's not doing justice to the more active members, especially leadership, who are playing the faction far more than I am. The fact that a bounty hunting faction is being criticized for doing bounty hunting roleplay is testament to that. If any faction has the label "PvP = RP" associated with them, it's the bounty hunters. Does that mean it's the only thing they can do? Absolutely not. This goes for all factions, BHG included - you can always do better relative to the opportunities of your faction's lore and ID. In BHG's case that'd mean engaging in more shady contracts, not being the black-and-white good guys exclusively going after bad guys, bribery roleplay, escort convoys, prisoner trading, etc. which is part of what I personally am trying to do in my limited time playing Aegis. To then discredit the faction for properly playing their role of engaging in bounty hunting activities, as a bounty hunting faction, is laughable at best.
You are correct on the aspect of Aegis' PvP etiquette when it comes to balancing fights. I have said it countless times, one of the points of the game with no matchmaking or proper balance between extremes (fighters - battleships) is that the community has to self-regulate on the matter of fight balance, otherwise it inevitably spirals into a vicious never-ending cycle of "they ganked me in 2018, so I will gank them now". If one side has all the aces, the ball is mostly in their court (though not entirely, as numbers matter) to put effort into balancing fights. That is certainly something I myself hope the faction will do better in its officialdom phase, as I gave them criticism for it, but this will not work without the other side willing to cooperate. What do I mean by this? For starters, coming in with criticism of lack of non-combat roleplay, but then logging off at the first sight of an Aegis ship in a 3v1. Conversely, spawn-kill ganking Core/Aegis ships in Delta but then being surprised when they retaliate. Both of these happened in the last week alone. I wasn't present in either of them yet it's hypocritical at best. I'm not directing this at you personally, it was meant to give an example of how if you don't even give someone a chance for a roleplay or a fair fight, while you yourself engage in the lowest of PvP and player interaction etiquette, you don't have a strong case in criticizing others on the matter. All you are doing is keeping the well poisoned.
I'm afraid the well is too poisoned for the relations to normalize between Auxesia and Aegis in particular, but I hope I'm wrong. Aegis gets along fine with pretty much everyone else, including PvP and pre-arranged discord raids. There seems to be a lot of past drama that I and most other regular members have missed by now as the years go on. The only way to break the never-ending shit slinging cycle is to just give a little of a damn. It really doesn't take much other than genuine effort from both sides to make it a more enjoyable experience, encounter in encounter out. That goes for all us regular members, not just the leaders or the high command. Heck, I'd be willing to mediate if both sides are willing to improve the status quo. In any case, appreciate the constructive feedback.
