The problems with PvP on Disco are the same problems had in every other PvP game.
Most players are knuckleheads and many others are just A-holes.
Everyone is out to do what they want and get personal glory. Being on the same side doesn't mean they're on the team.
The only thing I've read here that rings true is that team communication and coordination by a good leader allows average players to punch above their level. I say this as an RL combat veteran. Shoot, Move, Communicate is a military credo for reason, when the lack of it means real Death.
That being said, I've also found that getting players to do this is like pulling teeth.
If you're not coordinating as a unit and are getting wrecked, that's why. If you refuse to try it, kwitcherbitchin.
Also, self regulation requires self discipline. Knuckleheads generally don't have it and A-holes thrive on conditions where it doesn't exist, have no desire to be fair, and just enjoy wrecking things for other players. And we have no small number of those around here.
