- ---
Fleet,
This report was supposed to be published on the day of the incident, but I was unable to properly document the happenings due to other duties, and so it was delayed. The report regards an MND battlecruiser, Abhoerer, and an unaffiliated Order battlecruiser, Montu which were spotted in the Pennsylvania system. Upon closing the distance, and while cloaked, the Akhetaten followed those ships to approximately ten kilometers away from the Kansas jumphole, where they ceased moving and begun speaking about matters directly related to Liberty.
I have filtered the logs from the black box to only include the important bits, thus there is not much explaining for me to do other than what you'll hear for yourselves. In essence; both vessels operate deep within Liberty space - as deep as Alaska - in order to find any signs of Nomad threats, be it Nomad or infected specimens. On top of what is clear invasion of our space, the MND seems to believe that Liberty's preparing assets for war against Rheinland, hidden deep within "Sektor-X", what they refer to Alaska as.
Admiral Aden Tanner was present during the final minutes of this interaction, and with his assistance the Abhoerer was escorted out of Liberty through Bering. The Montu escaped making use of her cloaking device.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: Well the MND is an organization of great merit. And you being human will make this a lot easier. The bottom line is; we have similiar goals. Now I do not have the mandate to protect you. But I have a few liberties. We could turn our observation mission and your extermination mission into a win-win situation. Especially deep in Libertonian space.
CV-Montu: V: I'm listening.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: The Order is a terrorist organization according to Rheinland law. The aliens are an existential threat according to our mandate. Undoubtedly, you have technology that is both alien and Order.
CV-Montu: V: Alien, but probably not the same that you mean.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: When I say the MND has access to 'alien' technology I mean something different. We give it away from time to time to select individuals that serve our purpose or are aligned with our interests. Furthermore, you undoubtedly also operate in Liberty for prolonged times just as we are. You can only imagine how much technology and intel we could share to each other. Now the crucial part is this; we do not trust you, so do not expect miracles.
CV-Montu: V: It has potential.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: You would no longer have to rely on second-hand intel. I could have reports of sightings sent to you. Although they might not be a hundred-percent accurate, they will proove to be more accurate than rumours.
CV-Montu: V: Accuracy is why I have missles.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: Who doesn't? We have had extraordinary experience with Nomads and they still bother us to this day. I think it all comes down to whether you want us to take a closer look at your vessel or not.
CV-Montu: V: Yeah, that's a firm 'no'. You wouldn't want to come aboard, anyway.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: You have decompressed your vessel?
CV-Montu: V: Technically, the Order decompressed it. With a torpedo.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: You must live an interesting life, my friend. To steal an Assault Battlecruiser get attacked by the Order and then dehumanize yourself? Alright considering your preferred discretions... We could at least share some intel on Liberty.
CV-Montu: V: Some's better than none.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: I was not really expecting you to trust me anyways. Not to that extend at least.
CV-Montu: V: Oh, I don't, but info's verifiable. And I have Enyo to do that.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: I can transfer some info right now and then summarize it verbally or send you an entire package over a secure frequency
CV-Montu: V: Secure would probably be best. Enyo's pretty uptight about keeping things organized. Her and that damn filing cabinet protocol.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: That might take a while to compile and, of course, I expect an answer.
CV-Montu: V: 'course.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: And there is a final topic. -I want to address I will be blunt. What do you know about the mine field in New York?
CV-Montu: V: I know a cloaking device works wonders getting through it.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: Well, the necessary budget has never really been allocated to us. But I can tell you with decent accuracy what "Sektor-X" might be.Some agents on Norfolk, noticed traffic going into the direction of it via a secure passage we could not scout yet. Probably an entrance. Some do not come back. With almost certainty, we believe it is a military staging ground. The biggest shipyard in Sirius They are consolidating their resources there so we do not see their war preparations coming. We are talking sensor jammers obscuring view to a big line of carriers. Mass produced. "Sektor-X" must protect a huge installation. I do not think entering it would be wise, even with a cloaking device. They might have disruptors.
CV-Montu: V: They didn't last time we tried.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: Well, we could only do quick scans by using the New York-New York jumphole. So the patrols would not discover us. Such an installation would violate Rheinland national security. And enable Liberty to conduct pre-emptive strikes and end wars in the early stages.
CV-Montu: V: Sounds like Liberty.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: A different theory is that they have some high security prison there, but I do not buy that. It is a massive shipyard...in New York the center of their industrial might. And Norfolk is placed conveniently, so attack vessels are "Made in Norfolk". That is consistent with the amount of transport vessels entering and leaving the perimeter. That is one part of our intel. As you see, mostly accurate. Best there is. Noone is even bothered by "Sektor-X". BIS does not care, KOI does not care,...we have tried negotiating with them about a joint venture.
CV-Montu: V: Can't be bothered by something you don't know about.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: Oh, but the MND is. A lot of "experts" claim Liberty is banking on technology and some Ageira-made miracles. We say no. It is clearly an expansion of military ship assembly. I would do the same. So you see this is why my mandate does not cover your mission. But we are willing to lend some info here and there if you consider doing the same. Especially things you would not usually consider. Did you notice some strange developments in Liberty too? Because we are interested
CV-Montu: V: Aside from that ugly battlewagon we saw frolicking around Magellan, I haven't seen much.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: Battlewagon?
CV-Montu: V: Looks like a dreadnought, but same grade guns we've got here. Ass ugly.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: By god. Are you saying they developed a new shipline?
CV-Montu: V: If they did, it's experimental.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: First Officer: It is all coming together.
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: They will probably mass produce it
Cloaking device off
RNC-M-Abhoerer: CO: And then pre-emptively strike-
CV-Montu: V: Oh, there it is.
46th|TFA-LNX-Akhetaten: Uhmen: Quite rude, don't you think?
In other, unrelated news, the Akhetaten has not only received new upgrades to her armaments, but the technicians and engineers aboard Juneau have finally put together the long awaited specifications file for the entire class', and the A-0's, weapons systems.
With this, we are walking the final steps towards mass production of this new class of battlecruiser.
