We're in a peaceful mood and all that so my post will reflect that as well. But a few things need be said.

Just to be clear- this isn't a joke, I honestly won't be seeing people talk about Cylons and such anymore while I'm trying to immerse myself?

But anyways, many people just prejudice our RP to be imported while everything that you see in the game will always be purely based on what happens in Sirius, and not some remote other fictional world.
Anyways, in any case, the answer is that you won't, if you ever have.

That... that is something special. I've seen the capacity for great RP in many of your pilots, and despite a fair number of bad experiences I must say that most of my interactions with the =CR= have been positive, at least when the BSG jargon and immersion issues are removed. You lot have had some bad things dumped on you, from being ignored as an RPing faction to outlandish claims of capwhoring (the Atlantia needing admin restore at one point, IIRC), and a few choice words from me personally... yet despite all of that you have kept yourselves above that... well, with a few notable exceptions (I could name them, but we're better off forgetting them) and maintained a constructive attitude in this thread that I truly respect.

Second, weed in every crop, as I always try to say. We ain't no different, it can slip up to everyone.
Atlantia? Sorry, I don't recall what you're referring to, but I have a gunboat by the name of =CR=Atlantia so I'd like my memory refreshed just in case.

Choice words? Nothing we can't shrug off.:P

So long as the new backstory and RP style does not interfere with the fact that we are playing Freelancer rather than Battlestar Galactica, I look forward to great things.

The whole story was discussed and commented with Igiss and approved by the aforementioned person. You can take that as you will.

I do recommend you make sure you keep your members in line with regards to RPing while trading (an issue I hope has been resolved) as well as... shall we say, practical jokes. That has been a very touchy issue in the past, but I haven't seen it lately and I hope you can keep it that way.

For trading, yeah, there have been a few incidents here and there, but nothing too much, that I know of at least.
Practical jokes? PM me examples if you don't want to post it here. I'm interested to hear what they were.:P

Also, please stay on top of your diplomacy. When someone questions how you can be friends with, say, the Corsairs and still expect warm treatment in House space, please answer them.

Well frankly, I've always answered such questions.
Simply put, our alliance with the Corsairs is not a straight head on partnership between the two.
It's simply an agreement of keeping the Outcasts and any other common enemy that might come up at bay easier with mutual cooperation.
Had we ever actually allied with them against someone we claim to be neutral or better with, then we'd have a problem. That ain't the case, so we don't have one.

Make sure your members are aware of proper responses to this to, confusion over =CR= members acting as though at war with Bretonia despite apparently not being at war with Bretonia according to =CR= leadership springs to mind. Also, things like the Chugoku/Hideyoshi's Guard incident... well, please pay attention to those and endeavor to at least respond, if not to explain your actions.

Actually, Bretonia has made an official declaration of full hostility against us.
It was about 3 or 4 months ago, or at least it seems like that to me, when the privateers were attacking our transports, there was some diplomatic flinging back and forth, and the brilliant diplomats of the BAF somehow made the whole thing of our people dying our fault, made an ultimatum to us that was beyond any measure of reason, we of course snubbed it, and that was that.
We don't consider ourselves at open war with them, because we don't really have any interest invading their territory.
All that remains in our interest is keeping the Taus fishtank-free.

I'm going to stop right here before I go into the bashing mode I've done previously- you are trying to reboot your faction, and I respect that. Do not forget the mistakes of the past, and you should be fine.

Actually, I don't really mind anything anyone might say.
To me, flaming is an occasion where someone uses insults and swearwords. You can freely accuse us of anything, I welcome the chance to act all testosterone-like and try to rebut your arguments if I can.
So whenever you have something to say, fire away.

I'm too young on this server to know the mistakes of our past, it's actually all been a road on high in all my time here, with only a setback here and there.
