I was one certainly finding this very odd since Confederacy and Syndicate are in a way the same meaning, at least to me.

Maybe to you, yes. Definition-wise there is a vast difference, on a semantic level one can find similarities, true.

But the most common thing is the Enigma in the names of both.

It is indeed. As stated, it is a coincidence and was not intended. We will deliberate what we do about it.

On a more constructive feedback, you could add more details about the faction info. By example, their goals clearly well defined instead of a continuous text. you could also add an origin of the faction, why did they see the day.
