After finishing up a useless patrol in Colorado, I jumped over to New York. The system-wide comm channel was buzzing like crazy. Seems a trader by the name of Martin (can't remember his last name for the life of me) trespassed into Zone 21 and was not evacuating the area after being warned by LSF Agent Silverwolf. A brief firefight reportedly ensued and the transport retreated at last. I wouldn't have cared less about including this incident in my report if it ended there, but I'll get to that in a minute.
LSF Silverwolf and a Navy cruiser by the name of Prometheus joined up with me above Manhatten and it didn't take long for more action to come along. An un-IDed "Beetle" piloted by a PunkMeOut pulled into orbit and both I and Silverwolf managed to get a scan on him, finding a massive supply of artifacts in his hold. After a quick halt command he fled onto Planet Manhatten, where he continued to deny possesion of any contraband. A blockade of 1 fighter (myself), 1 bomber, and two cruisers proceeded to form a blockade around the docking ring. After almost a half an hour of reasoning with the smuggler, he finally came to his senses and paid a 5 million credit fine to Cruiser-Prometheus.
As if the day didn't have enough action already, the aforementioned trader Martin appeared in Manhatten orbit and landed. LSF Silverwolf explained that he trespassed in Zone 21, opened fire on an LSF agent, and fled the scene (after him repeatedly rule-lawyering Silverwolf that getting 5k away from the battle is fleeing). We took up blockade formation and ended up letting him off the hook just this once. I suggest we in the LPI should keep a close eye on this troublemaker.
