i have retextured it already. - i have tried custom dyed skins - and it looked aweful. - the current look is:

dark grey wings, silvery webbing, civilian frame ( bronze ). i have increased the resolution of the texture a little and the whole ship is showing a bit more contrast.



i ve tested it in a strong ambient light ( delta ). it has no more blueish/grey parts like the BW ships.

the problem i had with the custom dyed skins was that they looked "unnatural" much. they looked cheap and somewhat not like the material was supposed to look like - more like a toy you get with a kids meal at McDonals.

now - the advantage of having a generic civilian skin is that it goes well with the eagle ( yay ) - but of course doesn t look very much like a kusari ship anymore. the texture is most likely uploaded anyway and the game does not freeze ( for the opponent ) when he is forced to upload the custom textures.

i know its not what you wanted - and i can change it again... if you INSIST on purple gold, you will get purple gold.... or red or whatever - but colours have the problem that you can get too much of it, while a generic texture does not have such a problem. - the quality of a generic texture is better than the quality of a custom texture - cause the generic texture was made by professionals and the custom texture would be made by me.
