The Size of Aland Shipyard (Omega 3)

The IMG are considered to be one of the predominant ship building factions in Sirius, and as such, I feel we are entitled to have at least one larger shipyard. It is our only shipyard. Yes, it is bigger than most any shipyards, but that's a function of it's relatively recent construction. A lot of, actually almost all, house shipyards are described as being quite old in their infocards. The IMG, striving to construct a state of the art station, built a large shipyard.

Aren't most IMG designed ships fighters? You don't need dry-docks to build fighters... Scarborough in Bretonia is a Bowex station, the IMG and Bowex are close friends/allies or whatever... surely they could just hire out their facilities rather than blowing so much money on a massive shipyard that wouldn't be in use most of the time?

Just for note, Igiss designed this shipyard.

Uh huh... I put the question to him a while back and he asked me to post a poll. He said the main reason he made it so big was for "original design". I don't see your point there anyway... Just because Igiss added it doesn't mean it's right.

Alternatively, I would be in support of having areas of it still under construction would make it more visually interesting than as it is now (a kitbash of the usual ones with loads of drydocks stuck on). This would also get rid of the shock of a huge station which appeared out of nowhere.

If someone could add the new bits required for that, it would be nice yes.
