The bartender was refilling the ice tubs near the sinks behind his bar when he noticed a man come in and sit at the end of the bar. He was wearing a old leather jacket, jeans, Military style boots, and had a captains hat on; but the thing that really got his attention was that the mans right arm was in a sling and he had stitches in his forehead. They were obviously fresh because a little bit of blood was seeping out of them.
"Sir, are you ok?" asked the bar tender.
"I've been better. Bring me a bottle of rum and a burger."
"Well, heres the rum you wanted, will be a bit for your burger. If you don't mind me asking, who are you? My name is Andrew". Andrew extended his hand.
"The name is Edward Muldoon, Captain of the Transport Sirus Hauling. I would shake your hand, but..." He looked down at this sling.
"So what happened to ya?"
"I had a little trouble with pirates in the California system. Had to transfer my engineer to medical and have the ship towed to Newark for repairs. When that was done, I had medical look at me."
"So how long ago did medical release you?"
Captain Muldoon pulled out a cigar with his good hand, chomped down on it, and lit up. "Who said anything about them releasing me?"
