I "TRADER" pull out from a Liberty shipyard dock, turn to trade lanes.
Now, there's 4-5 other ship hanging around.
"3mil or die" in gen. chat. I don't know who this is to?
so I go into docking mode, slowly start to enter the trade lane.
Then the lane is shot out from under me
Again " 3mil or die"
Ok, 1. I don't like being robbed but it's main part of the game.
2. I hate being told " Xmil or Die"
3. I'm stuck in the gate, can't move my adv trans around.
4. i want to move away from gates & start to RP-but I can't move
5. I start getting blasted to ****
*(Now I just got online - no more then 2mins- I'm getting pissed now)
Options : a. Fight & die-teach pirate a lesson
b. Move ship out of way - try to RP for less
c. Hope help arrives- long shot
I took choice "A" - just because your a pirate, doesn't mean you don't have to work alittle at "RPing too"
If your going to get my credits, I want Dinner & a Movie!
I also have a chartacter that is a pirate, I never just: "xmil or die"
I ask to search the ship 1st then I give a lame "search tax" for cargo to go thru this area. And I will lower if the response is kind.
This is what I think RPing is about.
This has been some of my experiences too. Hence I wrote an open letter to the Pirates of Sirius Here
Edit: Now there are more than a few bad traders. I think both ends of the equation need work to make more people happy. I personally think everyone needs to have a trader character to support themselves. Pirating alone isn't going to keep you going...... Unless the trader is really stupid....
