The signing ceremony was solemn.

Minister of Defense James Ralston sat at the table, and the press took photos.

The share sale certificates passed by the the Minister, and he was signing them off in lots of 10,000.

When he finished the signatures, he stood, and approached the microphone. The press had not been fully briefed in what was going on.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, My family and I have just made a personal sacrifice, in this time of struggle, to make an example to the people of Bretonia. Especially to those who are more fortunate than others."

"I have just liquidated my holdings in Bretonia Mines and Minerals. Valued at $120 Millions."

"The proceeds shall go to the War Bonds program. Every penny."

The press and the crowd began to murmur, then became louder.

The Minister did not take questions. He simply waved to the crowd, and retired from the stage.
