Here is my small list of ships which we realy need. If you have time you can try those:)
New model for Hessian/pirate cruiser .... grrrr another ugly starwars model still in game (haleluya bhg dildo cruiser is replaced in 4.85)
Civilian gunship (not gunboat because gunboat is pure war machine and civs. shouldnt have war machines) which fit into eagle line of civ. vessels... because there isnt civ. gunship
some new ships for trading - equivalent to adv.train... there is only container transport.. now it looks like evolution chain... humpback -> transport -> train -> adv. train because everybody want biggest cargo hold.
Dragons need new model of gunboat because their mdel is ugliest thing in game
Pirate transport and train need new models because they are second ugliest things in game... almost same cargo hold as adv. train but half of size? where is logic? And it looks more like boats which was used in Normady than space ships.
Huntres need new model.... jesus christ if Batman ever come to play here, he will choose this ship
Civvie gunship is the new Zoner Gunship. They sell it to anyone, just like the Eagle line. From what I've heard: Good maneuverability, high armor, high cargo (for a gunboat), only 4 turrets.
Bretonia is getting it's own unique Container Transport from Jinx. Think there are some other transports coming. Zoners are getting a faction-specific transport with a large cargo hold (which they don't sell to other people, from what I've heard).
Pirate Transport was created based off an actual Freelancer concept picture for the Mule freighter, if I remember correctly. It looks awesome for what it is, and shouldn't be replaced. Pirate Train is boring, but looks fine for what it is, and doesn't need a replacement. And neither of them have nearly the same cargo as the Adv. Train.
Sizes of ships only have a slight bearing on cargo size, it's more about balance. If ships with smaller cargo holds don't have something to make them appealing (like being smaller, or tougher, or more maneuverable), then no one would use them. The Whale is the smallest and most maneuverable of the supertransports, by far, but it only has 1 tiny little gun and relatively low armor.
