"Miss Brown - what on earth is this garbled nonsense?"
She leaned over his shoulder and looked at the screen. He tried to pay no attention to her pressure.
"Sir, that is file corruption in the details of the applicant named Joe Armstrong - I will sort it out"
"It looks like a, like a, shopping list has been inserted here!" he said
"Sir, we have been so busy that multitasking is becoming the norm. If we didn't do it then nothing would get processed in time. Some errors are bound to creep in"
"Well this is deuced sloppy and not good enough!..." he started to rant
She cut him off with a very prim glare and said "You never make this mistake because you CANNOT multitask - you are a man!!" and she stalked out of the office, leaving him sure he had been hoodwinked, but very glad he was a man.
Two minutes later the file was returned, corrected.
"Shall I make you some tea, sir?" Said Miss Brown's voice, sounding just a little contrite.
"That would be lovely" he replied
"And let's get the security checks run on this lad Armstrong"
