As to the IMG, I would dare reply that you have it wrong.

Sure they have bases, but they're scattered as heck and at the whims of the locals, with whom they parley for their survival (outside of the Taus, where they simply cower if they're not CR). Their access to resources is only as vast as their industrial infrastructure, which in truth is not terribly magnificent. They survive by operating outside the reach of the real commercial giants of the bordering houses, not in spite of them.

They're fringe dwelling resource scrapers, not powerhouses of industry to overshadow the giants represented within the houses.

As to the shipline, well, uninstall 84 and look at Vanilla freelancer before putting too much weight on those scales. That's how I view it.

Not saying they're nothing, but I do disdain the notion that one's preferred faction suddenly out stripes logic.

In addition, behind that logic I maintain my disdain for the current trend to establish the Zoners as one of the most (in some people's eyes, some manner of magical ultra power to rival a house) powerful organizations in Sirius.
