"this is a formal complaint about one of your officers, [KNF]Skopton. - this officer - besides of applying an unusual rude tone, appeared to misinterprete the laws of the Codex.
"Except licensed vessels, export traffic of the following products from Kusari to the Taus is restricted to Samura, Kishiro and GMG (ID+IFF). Plutonium, Deuterium, H-Fuel, MOX, Military Vehicles, Light Arms, Ship Hull panels, Engine Components.
Gaijins found exporting the above listed products will be escorted to the nearest Kusari base or requested to drop the cargo on spot if escort not available or engage if refuse.
Fine: 500k~1M"
now, this passage concerns the cargo i was carrying - but unfortunately - your officer "appeared" to think that my vessel was ... ahh... exporting... deuterium FROM honshu away - while it is clear that a zoner vessel heading TO honshu FROM Gran Canaria would of course haul high quality Deuterium to honshu. - so it was no export traffic - and the Tau systems were never concerned - as my log shows that i came from sigma-17 ( omicron theta, omega-41, omega-47, omega-49 ). too bad your officer never requested these log files.
now, we zoners are not really very happy to be treated as "petty smugglers" when what we do is not only perfectly legal - but also benefits the state of those that we trade with. - this ship enabled kusari to export Plutonium to Lancarote, and import zoner Deuterium to Kusari for their effords in their conflict.
unfortunately, we will adjust the route after this - rather unfortunate incident and the misinterpreted law.
henceforth, -the.Fringe- may not include Honshu in its trade anymore, no more cobalt, no more deuterium from this vessel - unless the officer in question sends an official explanation of his actions to the govermental trade command of GC.
furthermore, i should also mention that the officer in question - above never asking the origin and destination of the vessel never mentioned the fine ... IF it had been justified, but threatened with the destruction of this vessel.
this officer was confronted with the misinterpretation of the codex - but was adamantly sticking to his interpretation - which is a sad thing, as it should not happen that a zoner trader appears to know the wording of the law better than the officer. - especially since the high command itself ... bolded the specific parts of the law itself.
best regards, Richard Bach - Captain of the zoner Tradeship -the.Fringe-"
(// situation: pirate train, zoner IDed / tagged, approached Honshu with a load full of deuterium from sigma-17. - no order from the KNF officer was ever disobeyed, - the officer asked the trader to halt - and then ordered the trader to sell the cargo at honshu. from the very start, the trader was accused for smuggling ... during the chat, in RP nastinesses were exchanged, which i would of course never mention in a RP complaint )
