With no choice but to leave education, he used a family connection to acquire BMM sponsorship to fund a diploma from Hackney Flight Academy, in New London. After completion of his training he was transferred to Dublin, starting on the work agreed to on his contact for sponsorship, flying a CTE 1270AV Startracker to begin with. Completing 5 years of good service, he resigned, piloting a CTE 3000 Falcon , reason given was that he was tired of fighting over something as unimportant as gold, exchanging the Falcon for 200 000 credits, the company paid had paid him well for his work at Graves, the CO also pointed him to Sandhurst Military Acadamy, based off the Battleship Suffolk in New London.
