I personally like the fact colonials police the tau's a bit, otherwise smuggling would be just plain powertrading. I have had several encounters with CR members and most of them end pretty well.
But i think you should try to keep some of your members more in line, as some of them make statements or do things that could cause allot of fuss. Also i have had two or three encounters where they blew a perfect RP opportunity (and my pirate train) into a million pieces.
I play a junker congress smuggler, and when stopped, i'll tell you the same story over and over. Mostly i have a discussion of several minutes with them and then eventually i comply. However some of your members just tell me after 1 minute or so:" times up, now you die" and shoot me without RPing much. My point here is that the CR has some pretty good believes, however some of your members just don't defend them with words in a discussion, they just shoot when they feel that they can't win the discussion. But then again, not many other people do that.
Anyway, keep doing what you do now, but keep in mind that you only have full control over tau 44, and that the other systems have other factions claiming them.
