With the planet registered, MD-1032 closes in on the planet identified as Pittsburgh and initiates an override on the docking port. MD passes through the atmosphere, scanning for signs of planet-form. A large plume of gas arises from a mining complex located in a valley engraved into the crust not far from MD. Scanning this seemingly dynamic mining station, multiple gas plumes meet the thin air and the metal cylinders within the complex. With all this distribution of the thick gas among the clear sky, a freighter is noticed from the horizon. Scanning the freighter, it is identified as an Ageira transport. MD continues the scan on the vessel, four Flashpoint and six Advanced Debilitator Turrets are documented with MDs list of encountered equipment. The vessel lands on a launch pad. The bright exhaust originating from the engines of the vessel is quickly dimmed to a small glow. A hatch opens, lowering onto the concrete-steel composite pad. Several inhabitants walk out onto the pad, greeting two approaching men. Another vessel appears, smaller in size compared with the Ageira transport. This new vessel connects to a section on the transport and slowly lifts away a crate. It does this multiple times until there were no more crates attached to the ship. MD draws near the mining complex, without warning, a hail reads out to the bomber, Aye, we got yall on the scanners, mind if I get a name and stuff like that? the sluggish voice of an anonymous person. MD holds no reply and continues to a second launch pad, banking on the right, MD gets a clear image of the Advanced Debilitators. Swiftly the bomber changes arrangement and engages cruise which is highly dangerous -and- illegal to do near a habituated area. The mining station is immediately alarmed with the massive plumes of gas being drawn around the complex, which was caused from the cruise exhaust of MDs engines.
Escaping into open space, MD tags a recently scanned object. A congregation of Trade Lanes cutting through the thick surrounding scrap field towards a slightly larger mass of metal. MD hacks into the Trade Lane, activating the energized conduits. The four conduits synchronize together forming a field of controlled energy. MD travels inside the field, instantly speeding up through each Trade Lane segment, a new burst of energy is noticeable each time the ship travels through a Trade Lane ring. Now reaching a constant speed in space, the Trade Lane conduits draw to a close, ending up at two large stations. MD reaches the last segment, returning to a slower velocity. Scanning the two stations, MD reads out several moored transports in one of the stations, the other station reads out as a police infrastructure. MD initiates cruise towards another individual arrangement of Trade Lane conduits. The bomber soon speeds up towards the four conduits. Hacks into this new Trade Lane and lights up while MD intercepts the ring. The ships velocity greatly increases to a constant high. Continuing on the path leading to this new giant blue planet, the ship spun out of control while departing from the third-to-last Trade Lane segment. The detected planet that was registered minutes later when MD jumped to the New York system. Four fighters disrupted the Trade Lane, causing it to abort the energy transfer down the rings. MD countered the uncontrolled spinning, returning to a static position, it scanned the four ships. A transmission was sent to the bomber, You! Stop there! MD neglected these fighters and disabled their ships to cease any further disruptions. In cruise for the rest of the way there, MD commenced another scan; three objects besides the Trade Lane that was being used came into a clear representation.
The first closest station was indexed as Trenton Station, the second was a larger station identified as Newark. The third contact appeared to be two separate parts. MD slowly made its way to this third entity. A dock ring as with an orbital mooring system, MD picked up a familiar signature. It was a transport vessel, the transponder read off as Ageira. It was the same ship as the one encountered back on Pittsburgh. MD studied the vessels movements, the transport seemed to keep a straight course right by the planet. MD engaged cruise to catch up with this contact, keep a distance from the stalked vessel, and MD detected two new separate Trade Lane conduits leading in two different directions. The Ageira vessel reserved the course to the one directly ahead. It sped-off to the other end. The bomber followed, a wing of LPI ships hailed the bomber for identification, MD placed the freelancer information as a transponder. In a mono-tone MD returned a hail, This is: Freelancer vessel, John Bering. LPI, now receiving this information, continued off into another direction. MD commenced Trade Lane activation, the bomber continued through the ring. Reaching the last segment, a new station met near the end of the lane. Scanning this new station, MD lingered near the Ageira transport. It moored with the station. Commencing a full scan of this station, MD concluded the station a facility of manufacturing and accumulating weapons for protection in the void. Spotting a specific type of weapon class on the station, MD initiated docking sequence.
