"When the battle began, the brunt of the reinforcements watched us and presumably cheered on their father figure. Herr Jamieson and I held on by the skin of our teeth during the engagement, very nearly destroying the Admiral's own fighter. But such a victory eluded us".
"Jamieson's vessel was destroyed, and I managed to salvage his escape pod just in time. This then led to myself being pursued South of Bonn all the way towards Kaiserslautern. I would have stayed and fought, but... Well. The fact that I had Jamieson with me coupled with the fact that my Bayonet is on loan from sympathizers at Heisenburg would have been reason enough to withdraw."
*Erich is silent a moment, staring off into space*
"I reached Kaiserslautern, jettisoned Jamieson's pod and then turned to face my pursuers. At the sight of Kaiserslautern, the Admiral ordered all four Wraiths onto me."
*Erich wipes away a tear from his eye*"I've made a horrible mistake in revealing Kaiserslautern's location, haven't I".
"A-Anyway. With Jamieson safe aboard Kaiserslautern, I felt then that I had nothing more to lose. I charged in like some Rheinswehr propaganda figure".
"To my surprise, I managed to down one of the Wraiths. Mind you, this was with all Twenty Tachyon Cannons trained and firing upon me. I then turned and fled further, to the Dresden jump hole, and Vogtland. Upon reaching Vogtland, I did what damage I could to the damaged Wraith piloted by Admiral Weissman before my hull buckled and my pod ejected, only to be quickly secured by Vogtland."
"I did what I could, mein fruenden. And we now know whom a weak link of Rheinland itself is. Admiral Weissman is directly responsible for the formulation of the present Police State".
"I will send all of you both three guncam shots and a long communications log of the incident. Again, I assume full responsibility for the loss".
