Third child born from the marriage of Carmen Harris & Dwayne Bell, James ( or how his friends call him "stringer" ) has always been a troublemaker. Always in some kind of mess in the Educational Center " Ponce DeLeon " at Arecibo Base, were he spent most of his childhood with his younger bother and 3 sisters.

His dad died when he was 11 years old from an accident in one of the docking stations of the base. While Dwayne was inspecting one of the afterburners during the Pre-Launch Checks on one of the Ships going out on patrol. He suffered 3rd degrees burns in 90% of his body when the pilot,who just came out of " Advanced Combat Institute " pressed by mistake the wrong switch while going trough his PL Checklist.

After that day,Stringer wasn't the same kid. He stopped caring about school,his friends,his dog Avan, even disregarding his physical appearance. He started reading reports and documents about the life outside the Puerto Rico system. How everyone in Manhattan and Pittsburgh were living on real soil,with beaches and fresh air.

He became obsessed with the idea of moving to Liberty and live in a planet, not confined in a hunk of metal for the rest of his life. He started reading about history, How Lorenz Von Rohe discovered Omega -11,about the first jump gate and the dreadful "Texas Incident ".

Once he turned 19, he told his family that he was leaving for the Liberty System. 2 months later he took his few belongings ,put them in his backpack and said his goodbyes. He promised to keep in touch with them and if they ever decided to leave the base, he would support them in anyway he could. His mom couldn't stop crying while he boarded the transport taking him to what he thought was his ticket to freedom.

5 months have passed and Stringer was struggling to make ends meet. The rented Apartment that he shared with a LSF pilot in the outskirts of New York Main Hub was expensive. He didn't had any education but was hired, underpaid, by a Liberty Navy Sub-Contractor. He had awesome skills as a mechanic doing maintenance on Navy ships and had a touch to make computers work correctly, even when certified technicians couldn't fix them in time and get the ships mission ready.

Just 9 weeks later he was put in charge of his own maintenance bay and was given team of 33 technicians,mechanics and software engineers. Right away he began to "shine" as he made sure that all the work that he was assigned was done with time to spare for another final inspection of every ship that entered his bay.

But 4 years of doing the same thing every day got a toll on him. He remembered how his dad spent almost all his life just working like a slave and died while doing it. He began to socialize with the lowest of scum of NY Downtown. He starting using drugs, alcohol and wasting all his money on parties and clubs. 2 months later he was laid off his job.

At the same time, the pilot ( Carl ) that he shared the apartment with got caught in a Cardamine smuggling ring. He got discharged of the Navy and was sent to a military prison after a court martial found him guilty of all the charges he was accused off. For the next 4 years, Stringer was living like a bum. working like a horse for a few credits, barely enough to afford 3 meals and smokes. He was loosing his mind.

Carl came out of jail after serving his sentence with another of the pilots that got caught in the smuggling ring. He looked up Stringer and told him: " String, are u going to spend the rest of your life living like this? heck, i was living better than you in jail. At least i had 3 guaranteed meals,a bay to sleep and bathroom."

Stringer began to talk to him about how hard this last 4 years of his life had been and that he felt he had no future. Thats when Carl told him " Your coming with me, i wont leave you behind on misery while i have a plan with some friends. I won' take no for an answer, trust me on this one. Things are going to change for the best. Meet me at Arnold's ( one of the lowest nightclubs in NY ) Friday At 2300. Pack only what you really need and leave the rest behind. You hear me?"

All that Stringer could do was nod. He had an idea of what the plan was and the more that he thought about it, the more he liked it. Now he has to focus on getting ready for the next 4 days. Time to pack.

Friday, finally. Carl came with 5 more guys, all pilots by the looks of them and Carl introduced them to Stringer. The walked to the corner and a Carl told Stringer: " we are leaving in 50 minutes, a transport will pick us up at the Thompson terminal. Let's hustle"

They arrived at Buffalo 6 hours later. They were welcomed like family, a feeling Stringer missed a lot. They got Briefed by the Officer in charge of the shift and then they got assigned living quarters.

2 years have passed and Stringer is one of the best pilots for the Rogues. 173 confirmed kills and millions of credits contributed to the cause. He began to enjoy more and more stealing from the wealthy, he was hooked. The feeling of just waiting for his pray and rob them was overwhelming, it was better then Cardamine and alcohol.

One time during a joint mission with the Lane Hackers he met Joey. They were so much alike, they became good friends, no , bothers. Stringer left the Rogues and joined The Lane Hackers. He Was Assigned a Series X "Dagger" ship which he named "Lucky Helen (LH) " and adopted the call sign "-Stringer-".

7 Months Ago, he got a tip on an " Ageira Technologies" convoy coming through Magellan System towards California System. While waiting at the trade lane, him and Joey ( Call Sign "Drekk" ) got a contact in the long range radar. 3 ships and one freighter coming out of the Manchester / Magellan jump gate. They both though that must be another convoy and not the one they were waiting for. They expected them in 48 more minutes. Drekk did a cargo scan on the ships and for his surprise, that was the one they were waiting for. It showed up earlier!

Stringer took a piece of gum out of his flight suit and put it in his mouth. It was a custom, the gum chewing made him concentrate more on the task at hand. Time to get busy String!!

Stinger moved "Lucky Helen" swiftly toward the Freighter and Drekk launched a TCD missile (Train Cruise Disruptor ). The TCD left from the botton of "Lucky Helen" in a flash and hit the freighter right in the middle. The EMP blast stopped the target on its track.

They began to take fire from the 6 O'Clock from one of the escorts. A quick scan revealed the attacker designation:

GTE 750E Civilian "Starflier"

Weapons: 3 CL-a "Starbeam" Civilian Laser Cannons.

-Stringer- Just though " Too Easy". He had lot of experience fighting those ships, he knew them better than their own pilots. He killed his engines while he turned "LH" 180 degrees and fired at his first target. The Starflier began to shake as all his fire was hiting bulls eye. The starflier pilot ejected his pod while the ship burned for like 3 seconds and then exploded. " hmm.. i guess he won't be my kill # 174 after all"

He quickly hit the afterburner as the other 2 Starfliers passed him by and maneuvered towards him. Drekk fired 2 T-MX2 "Sidewinder" missiled to the one to the left and that exploded like it got hit by a torpedo.

"Ok Drekk, one more to go and we can take the whole freight home" said Stringer.

"Rgr that String, lets finish this!"

The last Starflier to out maneuver Strings fire, but little did that pilot knew who he was shooting him. Stringer moved "LH" straight at him, he could almost see Drekk and Stringer's eyes. Out of the sudden, as soon as the Starflier got hit by the first volley of laser fire, he ejected knowing that it was a lost fight. " Damn, another one slips by, beam him onboard Drekk. At least i will be able to beat him once we get back to the nest".

Suddenly the "Dagger" started shaking as the computer announced: "Shield Failed!".

"What the hell was that!!??" said Drekk, as he started scanning for new contacts.Then his face went bloodless...

"We got new contact! Designation:...........

IR-7 "Raven's Talon" Very Heavy Fighter

"String, we have to engage cruise engines, now!!" said Drekk...

Stringer started to chew the gum faster. Finally a challenge! But if he fails, his life and Drekk's would be over.

"Relax Drekk, we got this one. This one is going to be my 174th Kill, i won't let u die.. "I" won't die in this fight!!

Drekk quickly increased the power of the shield generator and concentrated most of the protection towards the front of "Lucky Helen".. "I'm with you all the way bro', lets take him down!

"Roger that.. Get ready to hit him with all we got! Take his shields down, i'll do the rest!

Drekk starting firing everything at him.. all the missiles / torpedoes that where loaded on LH.. everything was hitting the Raven's Talon bulls eye as it started shaking violently...

Stringer made a ballsy move.. he flew pass the Raven so close to its cockpit, he could see the mercenary's dismay in his eyes... "Fool, He don't know who he is messing with.. I'm -Stringer- Of The Lane Hackers 5th Squadron "Silent Killers" !!!

He maneuvered "Lucky Helen"right behind the Raven, while the mercenary was trying to get a glimpse of the Dagger. Stringer kept focusing fire on the Raven's right engine exhaust... If he could kill that engine the Raven would be at a great disadvantage...

Then he saw the engine caught fire and smoke started coming out... Now its time to move for the kill!

Suddenly on Drekk's Computer came an alert:

*** Incoming***
*** Open Communication Channel Request***
***Designation: Raven's Claw ***
***ID: Mercenary ***

He opened the channel and a raspy voice came trough their headset:

"Hold your fire! Hold your fire!! I Surrender! Don't Kill Me!! said the Raven's pilot..

"Power down your weapons and shut down your engines" said Stringer...

The Raven came to a halt... Stringer moved the Dagger close to the cockpit of the Raven: "You will Standby until instructed otherwise, do you understand? said Stringer..

"Yes, yes.. i understand"

Six more Dagger class and 2 Series CX "Scimitar" ships appeared on the sector


"We gotta move quick, Tractor Beam them back to Mactan before Freeport 4 Send a patrol and alert the police. I'm empty and cant get in a fight with them now.. " said Stringer.

Back at Mactan, the whole 5th Squadron "Silent Killers" was in the bay when they brought the mercenary and his ship. The Intelligence Officers took the prisoner into custody while everyone else was cheering on Stringer and Drekk.

"I Guess you deserver a gift for a job well done,don't you?" said none other than Admiral C.J. Woods, OIC (Officer In Charge ) of Mactan.

As he looked at the Raven and the damage done to it, he moved next to Stringer and started admiring it. He was just standing there, still filled with adrenaline from the fight.

He looked at Stringer straight in the eyes, as Stringer snapped at the position of Attention... The Admiral looked arround the bay while the "Silent Killers" looked in silence.... Then the Admiral finally said:

"Stringer, you can keep the ship... I'm sure we can find a replacement engine and fix whatever else is wrong with it. As far as "Lucky Helen" goes, well... Drekk can take care good care of her, won't you Drekk?

"YESSIR!! " replied Drekk..

"Good, then lets get busy! we got a lot to do before we can celebrate tonight!! DRINKS ON THE HOUSE!! said the admiral..

From that day on, My Raven Claw been dubbed "Grim Reaper" by the "Lane Hacker's Silent Killers"
