All I can say is W-O-W. Today, it was one epic battle after another. It was so intense that I didn't get that many screenshots.
My Eagle VHF just rolled off the assembly line, shiny and new, when I decided to take it for a stroll down the ol' trade lanes of New York. It wasn't long before I ran into a Hacker by the name of Blood Dagger. He gave Maggard and I the slip, but it wouldn't be long until we ran into him again, and under more threatening circumstances.
As it turned out, Blood Dagger ended up becoming just one ship among a huge outcast force stationed outside Manhattan. LPI forces joined with LN and LSF, along with some indies, Bounty Hunters and possibly others to ward off the incoming attack.
After a few tense moments, and I cannot describe just how tense the moments were, we got ourselves organized, planned the attack and waited. Soon, Blood Dagger showed himself about 3K above Manhattan. We feared he was trying to divide us, or at least divert our attention from the real threat. So, in our wisdom, we sent only a couple ships to dispatch the Hacker.
Not long after, another Pirate, a Rogue by the name of Youngblood, played a game of cat and mouse with us. Unfortunately for him, we caught the mouse. I was starting to feel confident that the Outcast force was splintering and getting progressively weaker. My confidence strengthened when we discovered that they had divided themselves up among the jumpgates. Divide and conquer, baby. They did it for us. Now all we had to do was conquer. This we did in not too long of time between Planet Manhattan and Fort Bush, I believe.
I have a few pics of the forces gathering to fight in this battle, as well as the heroism of new recruit Ron Davis. After the battle, we picked off some stragglers, most of whom denied all involvement of the skirmish. I wonder if they would have been as 'uninvolved' if we were losing the battle. Lame, lame, lame.
Anyways, we claimed a 2 million cred fine from a Hacker name Saronsen Logic Bomb. A good talker, but coughed up the fine when surrounded by superior force. I didn't get pics of the later fight with the Keepers. Hopefully, someone will include this in a report if they haven't already.
Here are the pics:
As I stated before, if anyone has any other pics of this battle, or of the battle with the Keepers that occured not long after, please post it. I would enjoy reviewing it for the purpose of improving tactics and analyzing enemy deployment.
