"Christy's...is this really what has become of you?"
The thought passed through Commander Bruce Scott as he stood outside of the desolate building. Boards covered all the windows and workers were beginning to dismantle the "Y" from the title of, what Bruce thought, was the greatest place ever to be conceived. Bruce sighed, looked at his Christy's tea cup and thought, "To bad you haven't been filled from Christy's tea in a long time..." He looked around at the various construction workers demolishing the building. As Bruce looked he saw a woman sobbing. He walked up and asked, "I say, what's wrong mam?"
"Yes, everything, can't you see? My shop...its gone." Bruce then realized, the woman was Christy!
"Well, don't worry, I'm sure things will be all right Christy. I say, I could fill this nice tea cup here with all those tears, brighten up!" Christy looked up and was surprised to see Scott. She cleared her face of tears and replied, "About time you showed up, afraid you are to late for one of your buying sprees." Christy pointed to the crates of tea, biscuits, and other assorted goodies being carried out of the shop. "Now this just won't do!" Bruce shouted. Bruce ran over to the men carrying the crates and said, "Ello chaps, mind if I buy those crates off of you?"
"Uh...sure, how much you offering?" One of the men replied.
"How does 5,000 credits sound?" Bruce almost offered more just to ensure he could get one more sip of Christy's delicious tea but he held back. "Deal." The construction worker ordered his men to drop the crates as Bruce transferred the money. He ran over to Christy and said, "How much is it going to cost to get your shop back in business?"
"Bruce, come on now..." Bruce cut her off.
"I insist, now how much."
"Right, to cover the whole thing it will be about 500,000 credits. Oh, and make it another 500 for the "Y" that they just stripped off the building..." The "Y" crashed to the ground. Bruce whistled, "I'll ask some friends to contribute, for now here is 90,000 credits."
"Thanks Mr. Scott, that leaves about 400,000 left, and you already got all my food back. Just curious though...how are we going to store all that?" Much of the food that was already accessible was being eaten by Scott. "You greedy pig!" Christy slapped Bruce on the head and said, "Hurry up, go get those friends of yours." Bruce spoke into his Police radio to call for "backup."
