Junior Constable Savins quickly veered his ship towards the ground, hoping that he wasn't too late. Jumping out of his Hussar, he hastily took his badge and with a quick swig of his tea, rushed out into the streets. The streets were crowded as always, and the constable had a tough time getting through the constant stream of people rushing in and out of stores, transports and cafes. Rain poored indiscriminately to all under the rumbling clouds. Lightning soon flashed along with the deafeaning thunder which gave Adam all the more reason to reach his destination quicker--Christy's. The officer, after pushing through the crowded streets, finally saw the sign labeled "Christy's" although the letters were in a state of neglect and disrepair. Junior Constable Savins peered inside, seeing several shadows along with glints of metal. He held his breath, hoping they weren't the problem.
"Aw jeez.. what is goin' on here?" he thought, seeing the silouhuettes shift. "Well, here it goes!" and with that, leaped inside to only see some of his fellow constables, superiors and the proprieter herself, Christy.
Savins strode toward the bar, "Excuse me, Miss, Junior Constable Savins here, is there a problem? And where is Commander Bruce?" he asked.
"Right here, Mr.Savins and you came just in time." said the Commander, appearing from one of the back-end booths.
"Ah, sir, there was something the matter here?"
"Erm, well, no actually." the Commander replied, barely stifling a laugh.
Savins sighed, "Well if there is nothing else, Commander, Miss, I think I will..."
"Stay and join us for some pastries and tea? Splendid!" finished the Commander.
Christy's face lit up and rushed with a kettle of tea along with several ornate cups and a small dish of assorted sweets. Suddenly the room became a lot more friendly, contrary to the continued thunder and rain that occured outside.
"Well this isn't so bad, Commander." Savins said as Christy put the tray on his table and with a "thank you" began drinking his tea.
"Don't you wish emergencies were this good eh?" the Commander replied.
"Now, now, its our job isn't it?" a new voice replied.. Commissioner Abigail.
Just now noticing, Savins stopped midway from eating his pastry and hastily greeted her.
"Glad you could join us and Constable Ames here." she said.
"Likewise, ma'am. 'Tis a fine establishment indeed." the youthful constable replied.
Finishing the pastries and beginning to put the china and utensils back on the tray, Christy appeared from behind the counter and cleaned up after the junior constable.
"Thank you for your hospitality. The pastries were wonderful and the tea was excellent." Savins drew up 80,000 credits and transferred the funds over to Christy. "Again, a fine establishment you have here, Miss. I personally would like to keep comming back...
