Quote:5.6 If a player engages cruise engine or docks during a PvP fight, this player is considered fleeing. The fleeing player must leave and may not re-enter the system where the fight took place with any of the characters on his/her account(s) while the enemy (player or players involved in the fight) remains in the system, but no more than 4 hours.
However, the fleeing player can re-engage at will if chased.
Don't cruise to catch up. You've lost your guns and credits.
I'm not sure I understand this? How do you chase someone without cruise enabled as the rule suggests? And also, Sigil did the same thing to me when I tried to flee the area, he used cruises to chase me. So my basic question is, why are we being sanctioned for something that has happened to me, and surely more people? I mean I consider the ability to CD someone as still part of the fight, unless there is a different interpretation here. Sigil had cruise enabled. So did I? Where's the foul?
As for ProjectX, yes he may have used some delicate words but Sigil was being dramatically antagonizing us, telling us that Pirates had no right to kill someone if they refused to pay. Which is what they do. Nothing of Sigil's was hurt in the end, so I see this as merely a get back. How can you tell someone something if they clearly do not understand the role of a pirate? ProjectX had every right to use the language he did, based off the fact that Sigil had no idea what he was talking about whatsoever. Besides, I do agree that banning him for using "noob" and "tard" is harsh at best. They're (no offense to ProjectX) childish words. It's not like he scarred him? I've been called much worse. We tried to explain it, Sigil wouldn't listen. Sanctioned.
Also, his issue in server was over the "Halt or be KIA" command. Which gives the flee'r a warning if they are going to try to. Nothing was ever brought up over ProjectX's harsh language or my cruising to catch him. Therefore, he never tried to talk it out with us, and how can we try to work things out if he files a sanction for something completely different?
-I seem to remember seeing a banner in server to Talk to the person about their sanction before filing one
All of our sanctions are irrelevant to what was brought up in game. Therefore, they are after the fact. Put together just to get us in trouble because he got roughed up a bit outside West Point, along side several NPC fleets.
Edit: If you need some examples the LN, 'Sairs have cruised after me ingame before..
