It has been some time since my last report. During a raid into Omicron Gamma a couple of months ago I was shot down, and seriously injured, but thankfully I was recovered by friendly forces and returned to Vogtland. The medical staff here did a fantastic jon in getting me fit and well, and I have been active again for the last few weeks, just slowly re-finding my feet in the combat seat. The new gunboat, the Wurdiz, is performing well, and I have been able to rejoin full combat duty.
I see that you have been advised of the engagement with the Wilde by Major Hoerst. Sadly, my gun-cams and scan logs have been malfunctioning, which I was unaware of until I docked on Ronneburg for repairs, after our chase of the nomad scout. Those damned rocks in Omega-5! I was getting bounced around like during the entire chase. It's no surprise that malfunctions on my ship have started to occur. Still, the mechanics say that my Loki should be flying again by tomorrow at the latest. They were able to recover this scan of the nomad scout though.
After Major Hoerst left, along with Otto Barring, I decided to catch a shuttle back to Vogtland. Upon arrival I dusted off my Thor, and headed out for a patrol of New Berlin. As I undocked I was greeted by the LWB, and they asked if I would like to accompany them on a little trade inderdiction. Glad of the company, I agreed, and headed to the Bonn/Stuttgart lanes.
Things were busy. We intercepted several traders, getting payments from some, and insults from others. Those that thought to insult us now have other things to worry about. Such as how to fund the purchase of their new ships! Then the military started to arrive. The first was a federal officer and a military pilot. Wesley Richter moved to intercept these two himself. He was able to take them both out, while barely having his hull scratched!
Next, a gunboat and bomber that we quickly set into. They didn't last long, both falling to my Thor. Again, a malfunction in the scan logs means I have no record of the bombers layout.
. .
After several more transports fell into our net, another military pilot appeared, this time alone, and flying a Mjolnir. An impressive looking ship, and it gave my Thor some problems, yet still it fell.
.
With the Feuriger Kohlrabi full to the gills with plunder, the LWB returned to their base, and I returned to Vogtland. Sadly the damage that the Mjolnir had inflicted on my ship with its' barrage of heavy missiles meant that the Thor was beyond economical repair and was scrapped. I am awaiting a replacement, which should be available soon, I am told.
