Well not there ors a problem at all, the reapir ship has been used for a long time that way, but there are some pilots who seem to have their finger stuck to B key, as soon as they see something floating around they jettison it lightspeed.
A problem I saw with my idea is that a repair ship could be inside a base, or even on another system and transfer the regens from far away locations, so perhaps it culd be made so that only if you are like 1K from the player. Dont know if can be made tough.
