It had been a long time since Joshua last visited this certain district of New London.
Following the death of Sir Alan, Joshua was seen less and less in the capital of Bretonia, and mostly spent his time on the Shetland in Edinburgh, spreading his patrols accross the rather quiet system.
It was due to the death of Sir Alan's successor that he found himself on this rainy world again - Abigail Thorn, the brave woman leading the BPA had gone way too early.
Now, Joshua's fellow Chief Constable M'guire had called the higher-ups to Christy's, the favourite watering hole for any constable.
Rushing through the ever-flowing rain, his dark blue trenchcoat appearing nearly black because of the wet conditions, Joshua reached the shop. He had heard of Christy's problems from another constable during duty and was a bit embarassed to show up this late.
The little bell above the door rang, as Cooper entered the store.
"You sure are one bad paragon, Mr Cooper! You could've shown up a little earlier, couldn't you?"
Christy grinned at him, she was in the process of getting the store back to what it had been. Joshua reached inside one of his coat's pockets and drew out a small packet and handed it Christy with a apologizing smile.
"I'm sorry, but, well, you know how I am, m'lady..."
Christy took the package and put it on the counter without opening it. It contained a credit card and rare example of the brand-new Green-Black Gaian Darjeeling, a tea brand for Planetform higher-ups enjoying themselves at the Shetland.
"Well, that's not the best excuse I've ever heard, Mr Cooper." Christy wagged with her finger at Joshua "But I understand you lads have your hands quite full at the moment, right? Oh, and you should hurry up, Mr M'guire is waiting for you. Cambridge Lemon Tea, I take it?"
With a smile and a nod, Joshua entered the small room at the back of Christy's shop. The Warden of Newgate, Duncan M'guire was already there, a gloomy look on his face.
"G'd afternoon, M'guire. I guess I already have a clue what we'll discuss here..."
Joshua sat down next to M'guire, waiting for the others to arrive.
