Hum, interesting turn out for this thread. Though, not entirely unpredictable. Personally, I don't care how many battlecruisers there are, they're easier to kill than Gunboats and take less effort to kill than Carriers at least. I don't see why we should bicker amongst each other, when clearly the problem lies else where. I'm sure the solution doesn't lie at the bottom of a thread of flames, either.
I think a change in the way capital ships are done would be good. Nothing set in stone, because it may turn our horrible. I know n00bl3t fiercely defends his rights to freedom as an independant capital ship owner... but for as long as I've been playing discovery the system hasn't changed. If we don't explore other avenues, then things can't get better. Granted, they can't get worse either, but unless we've seen the concequences of the change, how do we know it's gonna be a bad thing? You assume the worst, and I think it's disappointing that you refuse to give your fellow community members trust, and the benefit of the doubt. You assume they're going to be eliteist pricks and say GTFO to all the independant capital ship owners. But how do we know that is the case? Things could change for the better, but unless we try, we can never know. And even if it sucks, we can always go back to the way things were.
