Greetings Fellow Congressmen,
After thinking about the three choices and many flops about which one would be, in my personal opinion, the best choice of action I have reviewed all your input and used it to augment my own insight. I believe that none of the options presented by the Honorable Arbiter Hannibal Bishop can be used independently to achieve our desire results and resolve our grievances. The Following are the reasons why I make this argument:
Course 1: Staying on Course- While that would seem like the an illogical choice at first I must agree that it is the safest for the congress because we don't attract any retaliation from a House to our Congressmen. Although in my opinion not the right choice because if we choose to remain helpless to the atrocities committed by the Hogosha and their Kusari puppets we will open the proverbial flood gates for bolder enemies. Also above all we CANNOT let Bretonia Fall.
Course 2: Retaliation- While this is the more appealing choice of them all we cannot AFFORD a direct conflict with Kusari no matter how you phrase it. Even supporting a "Separatist" Junker Squadron would lead to a massive loss of funds for the congress. While I do believe that the Jackal Squadron should be initiated, for SELECT missions into Kusari territory and against Hogosha but not directly to Kusari Military, it will place a HUGE target on the Heads of the Members of the Congress whether we're indeed responsible for it or not. There are also way to many possible variables with different associates that we cannot foresee how a Direct or Indirect War with Kusari might affect relations and trade. Our Motto is "Power -- Profitability -- Security -- Freedom." We cannot let one outshine the others in importance.
Course 3: Withdrawal- Cut our losses and leave. This choice is truly unreasonable. I do not even have to mention the losses in profit and overall influence we would experience from this decision. I urge the Congress not to vote this Course and I have faith it will not come to pass.
I have argued all the point as objectively as I can and now here is what propose as a solution:
A combination of Course 1 and Course 2. While we cannot idly sit by while we our picked off by Kusari Battleships we can't endanger the Congress more by initiating a Retaliatory Squadron under the Junker Rep. While the Jackals are a good fundamental idea it is just to obviously connected to us to have some negative effects. I like Tinkerbell's post because of the following lines:
"We have established a small independent force with no ties or direct affiliation to any single Junker group. Its members are independent and bear the consequences of their actions alone. It is at the disposal of all Junkers."
Although I do not wish that these "agents" to have to deal with the ramifications of this by themselves we have no choice. We must remain neutral at least in the public eye. Although if this force had a sudden surge in numbers while coincidentally fighting Kusari we could not be held responsible for a third party's actions. =]. The only way this will work is it is totally independent of the Congress. The Congress itself can go into a defensive state attacking only to retaliate against aggression. I am by no means encouraging we sit and take this lying down but we have to be smart about how we react!
I hope my post helped at least a tiny bit. It is my first post =O. And not my last.
