Following your sig here saying you are 100% right or even more.
I personally suck with Light fighters, but I have seen some really good pilots doing incredible things with a light fighter. No offense Hawkwings, I can understand your frustration and sympathize since the Light Fighter is the most skill-dependent vessel class in the game. So yes, if you don't have enough skill, you will not contribute much to a battle and you will probably make a fatal mistake and die.
The point of Light-Fighters is to annoy the enemy, throw them off balance or support as a shield-busting unit to your allies. A Light-Fighter is not one you should go solo with up against people, that will take ages to kill them, and if you make one mistake you will die. A Light-Fighter has and will most likely always be a really good fighter/bomber-support unit. Treat it as such.
Now this thread isn't about Light-Fighters is about the GC bomber. My post towards you Nighthawk, the Falcata statement held a very sarcastic tone, but it originated from missunderstanding your post looking like you tried abusing your power (whatever that power may be). For that I apologize.
Moving on... my argument as to why the GC bomber should not get a extra CD slot along with a huge increase in armor and firepower versus slower ship has been stated, if anyone disagrees please post counter-arguments to support your side.
My arguments in conclusion:
- Kusari ships follow the line of "fast, agile vessels".
- GC Bomber infocard states it sacrifices some agility for firepower.
- The GC Bomber can use its agility to its advantage if used correctly (personal experience).
