While it is easy to target a large ship, it is also easy for a large ship to abuse its status as such and bully small ships, hence small ships need to have a fair chance whether there's two of them or a dozen.

As for gun speed increase... I already get nailed enough. While I imagine it would be a fair balance thing for most of y'all sitting comfortably over there with < 200ms ping, I see it only wreaking hell on the gap between yourselves, and those of us with less ideal latencies. Granted, I myself suck either way, faster projectiles will simply tear apart those who can't keep up, while with the current projectile speeds they actually stand a chance.
