LN stopped spamming caps but the indy lolwut pirates got so obsessed with caps during it that they are now using the biggest cap they can pirate in because it makes them feel stronger. Get a group of 5 bombers together and go rape them. Tip; Triple SNAC will insta-kill any GB if they all hit the hull quickly enough that the GB can't both between them. Then you get all the nano-bots and move on to the next one. Simple.

Or better yet.. Don't go to Liberty if you get tired of it.

I do wish people would stop throwing EVERY pirate on Disco into one category. I fly a pirate in a GB and he's NOTHING like what you guys are describing. People wonder why I generalize lawfuls ... its because traders and lawfuls continually generalizing us ... and they continually make anti-pirate threads. Just take your snapshots and file a violation report. But PLEASE quit taking these things to the forums that just get people all riled up. Everybody's jumping on the bandwagon and badmouthing pirates. I've got a freaking pirate and he's nothing like what you guys are describing. Please do not lump us all into the same category.

I'mm LPI, not a trader. I HAVE to stay in liberty. Besides, 5 bombers to take out one gunboat? I thought it was 3, yet today when I went up against that rogue GB, all of us got shot down.

Well ... Liberty (New York in particular) has been, is and always will be the most populated with lulwhuters ... on BOTH sides. You wanna avoid the lulwhuters ... pick a faction that's not in Liberty and you'll avoid the entire headache.

It would appear the lawfuls worked to fix their cap issues. Pirate caps always were there, only now the lawfuls have managed to cut theirs down to a respectable number, however the pirates haven't been able to do the same. Many factions have tried, LR (denying access to dock on the bases with caps, I was a fool to be against this action when you first did it, I apologize) and all the others who tried registrations. Unfortunately they failed.

As a result we now have less lawfuls and more pirates. The balance is broken by our work to reduce capship levels. Indeed it is the lawfuls fault, that we cut our numbers down unevenly compared to the pirates.

Apparently our controlling and being reasonable set us up for the problem

So I'm gonna call out to the pirates out there, to be reasonable. You see a LF don't attack it with a GB, log something more... even. (God forbid you try a LF!)

Most pirates these days, are only out to get that little blue message. To make themselves feel good. (Perhaps to compensate for something else that is small, they fly big ships?) I haven't seen a SINGLE pirate capship that RPs yet in liberty. All just want to kill and ruin other peoples fun.

So to the pirates out there. I suggest, no... I challenge you to hop in a light fighter or a heavy fighter and see how much more fun you can have, while allowing others to have fun also.

Gotta agree with you mb52 ... this type of behavior by these new pirates is unacceptable. If they wear a Pirate ID ... they need to stick to piracy. Factionized pirates need to read their infocards, repsheets and rumor mills to get a better understanding of their faction's role play. I haven't actually been able to play for any length of time longer than about 10 minutes on my laptop due to lockup issues so I'm not familiar with what these pirates are doing. But I've always advocated reducing lawful capships for the precise reason you are calling on pirates to downscale. The pirates you speak of are acting more like a military organization ... way beyond the scope of their ID's. Definitely should not see an armada going after a frontal assault on the Liberty Navy.

It sounds as though some of these pirates are more into PVP than role play. But please don't lump me and those of us who DO role play piracy into this category.

JakeSG ... Just because YOU and I don't agree on everything ... it doesn't mean I disagree with everything and everyone. If you truly believe this, then you've NOT read EVERYTHING I've ever written. I suggest you get to know me a bit more before passing judgment on me.

My #1 pet peeve ... anti-pirate threads. If you see me in an anti-pirate thread (like this one) ... then yes ... you'll see me disagreeing with a lot of people. And the vast majority of my posts are in these anti-pirate threads DEFENDING pirates role play.
