' Wrote:The part I don't understand.... what's so bad about docking and re-arming? That's a normal tactic... I mean, the whole idea for the law enforcement is to remove the pirates from their space. If the pirates want to do it in an area with fresh supplies constantly available, like near Ft. Bush, that's their problem... maybe they should pick somewhere else to fight? That would also help the problem of these pirates hanging out in places they really shouldn't be able to.
Piracy is supposed to be hard, isn't it? Especially if you're doing in the home system?
Also, on the shield running thing, that makes sense, but I was more referring to a FULL tactical retreat, to re-engage once resupplied. If new developments suddenly mean a pilot is horribly outnumbered, he should be able to disengage and come back when he can deal with it... I mean, if he successfully flees, he obviously didn't die, or he'd be dead. So, if you're not dead, why does it count as such? Not only that, but the only time that should be possible is if the enemy doesn't have cruise disruptors. If they do, he'll die anyway and it's not an issue.
Just my 2 cents
Well I'd agree that its a little silly not being able to rearm. But the issue here is that people will use this to gain upper hands on their own turf. Docking, repairing, and resupplying is something we do in EVE. But as many of you are so fond of pointing out, this isnt eve. Its not even a pvp server.
I honestly cant believe anyone would pvp without a CD, or someone in their "fleet" who has one. But I suppose with this rule it may as well be a torpedoe and do some damage.......
