Zoner Bounty RP

I tried to look through the RP Forum section for any non-Zoner threads talking about food shipments to unlawfuls. I tried to look for any Zoner threads "openly" talking about shipping food to unlawfuls. My question is this:
Did you read private roleplayed threads on the forum to discover this information and if so, did you use that to create and participate in the Zoner Bounty event?

I am asking this because the player known as Malaclypse666, who dedicated three years of his life participating on the server and developing such sub communities as the TAZ, Council of Zoners, SHIZL, and shaping the overall Zoner player base into a relatively disciplined, well manared group of players --- has announced his departure from the Discovery Server on the account of metagaming.

The Zoner Bounty may be what some of you consider "legitimate roleplay," but I see it as an inconsiderate act. Yes, some roleplay requires you to be a pirate or a killer, but you have to do it with certain consideration in mind. You have to be clear about it and sometimes, YES, you have to contact players out of character BEFORE you begin an RP event. You don't have to do it EVERY time, but for something like this, I think it would have helped. Let me explain:

A topic is opened about a bounty on Zoners that is given to lawfuls. The bounty included payment on killed traders -- an unlawful act. QCP, an unlawful faction is participating in a bounty given only to lawfuls. The topic states a number of facts that should only be known to Zoners and the people they deal with. Myself and my fellow mate, Charles Burns enter O-49 in order to engage in verbal RP with the QCP there. We are shot on sight without being able to type a single word.

Is this "legitimate roleplay?" I suppose, but it is inconsiderate and when a person like Mal leaves the server due to it, you have to ponder if you overstepped your bounds or not. If you want to roleplay a bully, do so. But you have to do it without upsetting the players. Or at least TRY not to upset other players. Because in the end, if we ALL do not try to have fun together, none of us will.

When I was organizing a simply h-fuel convoy, I contacted GMG, OSI, and TAZ players out of character before proceeding with making announcements in Diplomatic Matters. It was a simple, "hey, I have an RP idea and I want to know if you guys are OK with me opening this thread in the Diplomatic Matters section." And that's a tiny roleplaying act compared to having a bunch of players IFFed as "Bretonian Armed Forces" barging into O-49 and pirating and killing everything in sight. The least you could have done is contacted Zoner player leaders and talked to them about such a thing like that.

You're probably thinking, "why the hell do I have to do that for every RP event I want to make?" No, you're right. You don't have to do anything. But if you've been RPing as a lawful faction with no tension between Zoners, and one day you bust into their turf and start killing them, then perhaps it wouldn't have hurt to at least DISCUSS it with the players before you decided to turn your RP 180 degrees.
