I made a thread about this earlier, wondering if these kind of missiles could be used to start hitting your opponent while he is out of range, but leaving the close range combat to guns, instead of missiles.
So here you have it, a new type of missiles, using the Cannonball launcher as a test.
Stats:
Missile class 9
Hull damage per shot: 0
Shield damage per shot: 4 000
Blast Radius: 500m
Range: 9000m
Projectile Speed scale: 1 200m/s
Refire rate: 1.00
Energy usage: 8500 (inferno)
Targeting range: 9000m
Targeting FOV: 120c
Precision: ~100% (more or less like gunboat missiles, you CAN dodge them, but in theory you can't)
This means, the missile, when launched, is still for 5 more seconds. This prevents using the missile in close combat. The large blast radius is discourages it as well.
