Thats a cool idea

you could design a ship with some kind of sail or trawler net behind it perhaps ? or a filter on the front?

So you have to move around to "catch" the product.

Although, rather than make it slim ( which would be easy to just let go) you could design it so that if left afk it would catch on asteroids and get stuck ( abit like the massive mining ship does now) and get nothing.

Thus you would actually have to do something ( navigate carefully) in order to get your product?


p.s perhaps a modification of the /stuck command would be able to tell if the ship was moving sufficiently fast ?
