That is your opinion, and you are entitled to it. But nowhere are you given the right to change the diplomatic relationship between Liberty and any of her enemies. If you truely believe you're doing the right thing, then file a recommendation to the High Command. Acting on your own feelings is not permissible in the Navy.
Remember, a military organisation is not a democracy. The state of Liberty may be, but the Liberty Navy is not. If officers disagree, their opinions will be taken into account when dealing with outside parties. What is not acceptable is to have officers, Admirals no less, making deals in the name of the Liberty Navy without the High Command's prior consent. Consent which you do not have.
The Nomad 'threat' as you call it, is something which we have firmly under control. The entire sector was once caught unawares by this threat, but their existance as well as the nature of their subterfuge is now known. We are always on our guard.
