The point about the two factions been allied has nothing to do with same ideals or goals, they're on the same boat because they share targets. BMM, BAF, BP, Mollys, Outcasts, Bounty Hunters... Need more despite the fact that both factions aim traders as well, whom the point of view from the Gaians, are supplying Bretonia, and for the point of view from the Corsairs, could be supplying themselves?
Another point to be raised is the fact that since Gaians are much more used to targetting Planetformers and Travelling Agencies, and that they have better Bio Tech available, they are much better suited to supply the Corsairs with a) food, b) oxygen, c) drugs, than any other pirate faction nearby. You reply that with the firepower and Military Technology the Corsairs have and you get a pretty sturdy relationship.
More? Ok. Both factions have ties to the Hogosha and the Farmer Alliance, both factions support Kusarian armed forces to a certain extend and both factions seek to destroy the current political skept of Bretonia.
Neither Gaians or Corsairs factions are RAAAAAAAAAAAAGE pirates, most of us just fail to see the point why they are allied. Heck, does any one remembers the fact that the Xenos once made business with Universal Shipment?
BTW Alexia, I hope you did not take offense on my last sentence there...
I'm always looking for more Gaian players, I just don't believe creating more and more and more factions is a good way to do it. Perhaps you should talk to other Gaian rp-ers on the server (Through another thread...) and see what may come up from that?
Just my cents.
Edit: Okay, the way I had put here looked like I wanted to picture Corsairs and Gaians into the political affairs more than they actually are. That is not very correct. What I wanted to say is that the Corsair empire is looking for expansion and territory, and the Gaians are more engaged into discussions along with the Green Front, along with the disruption of the Terraforming stuff. Sorry for the incorrect info.
