The Siren

Ryuko moved quickly along the catwalks to keep track of where the captain was heading. He had to get to the main hall before her or else he'd lose her in the masses of businessmen and residents of the station. He darted along the catwalks making his way to a hatch on the far wall that opened onto the second story balconies of the main hall. Peering over the side he could just make out Captain Michiba emerging from the staircase into the atrium. She moved elegantly towards the administration boardroom located in the far corner of the hall.

Now was not the time, Shintaro knew he wouldn't stand a chance taking her efficiently with her bodyguard. He figured he'd wait until all the formal stuff was out of the way and the Captain would dismiss her guards and head somewhere quieter. The commercial deck was his best bet. He headed down the closest staircase to the lower floor and pulled his hood over his brow.

Everwatching the door to the Administration office he made his way to the corridor that lead down to the commercial deck and waited by it's entrance. Blending in with the crowd he noticed a deal being done by two sinister looking men under one of the pillars holding up the balcony above.

Before long the doors to the Administration office reopened and a number of suits emerged followed by the captain. Her guards didn't follow and she resumed the final formalities with her associates before bidding them farewell. Michiba began walking his direction, Ryuko turned to the men behind him and inquired as to what they were dealing as she passed. Cutting his conversation short he followed her, walking with the mass of people heading the same direction. Their path led them down the staircase and into a wide corridor.

Shintaro stayed at a distance of a few meters to avoid suspicion but kept his eyes locked on her while she walked. Suddenly the Captain made a quick turn into one of the smaller corridors heading out of the causeway and Ryuko stopped at the juction. He looked around cautiously before pulling out his pistol, and following her down.
