I didn't mention he was alive, my friend. Simply that I have yet to read the book and now that I checked Wiki, I was right. 40 years in the future, woot.

I suppose I misinterpreted that. Oh well.

Might as well make something constructive out of this post. Much as the message in it is good, 1984 has such a depressing ending. It's a good novel, but I hate feeling down after reading something. I'd read Animal Farm if I didn't think that the same was probably true for it as well.
