Mister Templeman, QC, accepted the documents, joining Mister Naggars table, shuffling through the documents and glancing at his new colleagues.
"I'd like to make a motion, to have these documents, as well as the MED.FORCE.ONE's official logs entered into evidence," he said, rising smoothly from his chair, one hand resting just below his sternum.
"Also I would like to request that all court documents pertaining to this case be delivered to my Neural Net, so that I can best defend my client's interests in this case."
He cleared his throat, "And one more thing, Your Honour," I would like to establish a motion that Jason Nagger's case be considered at the same time as his father's. The two cases are linked, and it would be a travesty of justice were one to be tried while the other sits in a cell awaiting his day in court. My client is not guilty, and I think the jury will agree, that as a victim of circumstance, neither is his father..."
"Objection..." the prosecution Barracuda stated. "He is trying to influence the jury... the time for opening statements is long over..."
"Sustained," the judge banged the hammer. "Keep it relevant to the motions at hand Counselor."
"Of course, your honour," he glanced at the father and the other defense Lawyer. "Do you have any objections to trying this case at the same time?" He leaned down, covering his mouth with his hand. "The jury is going to take one look at a ten year old boy on the stand and they are going to balk at conviction... this is, possibly, the best chance you have at the moment..."
