Good idea, here is some more.

Add a box on the portal called "Links". And add these.

Home (Link to Portal)
Forums (Link to Forums)
Search (Link to Search Page)
Members List (Link to Member List)
Add to Bookmarks (Script to add Discoverygc.com to your Bookmarks)
Monderation Team (Link to the forums Moderators Team)
