here is little retro idea of BHG logo coming from bounty hunters badge used in USA during wild west era:
Symbolism is as folows.
Left half:
Solid half-star - represents roots of BHG in Liberty, but becose general public wasnt very happy from former criminals now being part of law enforcement, it shouldnt be alowed to be blue.
Solid border - represents limitations BHG has to endure while pursuing their interests in Houses, most notably entire ban in Kusari.
Right half:
Transparent half-star - represents BHG claims,holds & future in edge worlds with being surrounded by solid fields representing sheer overwhelming forces of unlawful factions and nomads alike in those systems.
Transparent border - represents great opportunities and richies that are waiting in edge worlds and the rest of galaxy.
I used black/white combination becose those colors are tied to death and thats BHG trade. Other color combination might work too.
As for BHGCore:
only added circle core in color of blood, or may be 1st picture while trade white for red.
