Depends on what bounty actually. Lawful bounties usually just bring light to the criminal that's already wanted by the House Lawfuls, this only greases up the things to catch him (All unlawful ID persons are wanted btw)
So when bounty hunters destroy his ship he's basically "captured" not "dead"
Ofcourse it could be dead as well, but I certainly wouldn't base the thing on "lawful stupid" from what I've seen at missions. But yeah I get what you mean, sadly game mechanics cannot support capturing.
But Roleplay can. it was more than few times when a house roleplayed having a prison liner and then unlawfuls attacking it to break their own free.
