During a patrol around New Tokyo this evening, I was informed of Blood Dragon vessels terrorising the civilian traffic in Honshu by a Kishiro representative. I couldn't allow such madness to continue, so I immediately cleared my patrol waypoints and headed off to asess the situation.
I made contact with the fallen samurais directly as I left the jump gate from New Tokyo. They were superior in numbers, but that was not so in vessel classes. I ran a few scans on them and the database of wanted criminals displayed the names of a Blood Dragon, Hirosho Horatami, a Nova Power Gen vessel, the Rogue and Ryuu, another, independent Blood Dragon warrior.
The ronin warriors demanded two Blood Dragon pilots I took into captivity, I immediately refused. Horatami wanted to persuade me, but the Nova PG pilot began to attempt reclaiming his brothers with force and I was forced to resist. The Rogue was a Tanto-class light fighter, it posed no imminent threat to me, as I was flying my Chimaera. I managed to heavily damage his vessel, causing him to flee. I attempted a pursuit at first, but his fellow comrades covered him with cruise disruptors. I could have persisted, but he admitted his defeat and fled in shame.
Two hostiles were left, but Horatami retreated without me placing a single shot at his craft. The reasons for his actions remain unexplained, but he was most probably afraid to face me. That cannot be said for Ryuu, who stood his ground and attempted to continue his struggle to reclaim his captive brothers. He was without success, a simple dent to my hull is all I recieved in the fight.
Ryuu eventually realised I outmatched him and offered his surrender. I wanted to accept, on the condition that he turned his crew over, but he refused to do so. He jettisoned a mine and tried to escape, but I destroyed his vessel.
