Fleet Admiral Hale here... After the rather regretable incident involving Countess Lafiel Tarrant, I started finding my own way to negotiate her release. This was something which I didn't need to do, and it went a long way beyond my remit and authority. I acted not under pressure from my government nor yours, but off my own back.

Miss Tarrant is currently safe and well, if shaken, at the Bretonian Embassy on Manhattan. I will discuss the details of the release with you and my government at a later date, but for now, lets be glad that Miss Tarrant is safe.

Miss Tarrant is someone who I am proud to count as a friend.
