Oh I disagree, it was an epic fail of the highest order, and I'm a WC fan-boy, and I still couldn't stomach it.

FreeSpace Open Source has a pretty kickass Wing Commander full-conversion. The missiles always kill me in one hit though. I hate that. Not used to it.
